Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of spacematehome.com and related services operated by Spacemate Home Ltd (“Spacemate”). By accessing the site, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

Spacemate is a marketplace: independent vendors list and sell products; Spacemate provides the platform, payment collection, escrow, and dispute tools. Product descriptions, pricing, fulfilment, and after-sales support for vendor listings are primarily the vendor’s responsibility unless stated otherwise (e.g. Holms, our house collection).

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm other users.

Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed via Paystack. When you pay, funds are held in escrow until the order reaches the release conditions (typically after delivery and the dispute window). Spacemate deducts an agreed commission before releasing the net amount to the vendor.

Delivery options and fees are shown at checkout where available. Estimated timelines are provided by vendors or couriers and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes in line with the vendor’s stated delivery terms and applicable law.

If something goes wrong with your order, raise a dispute within the window shown on your order page. Spacemate may request evidence from both parties and will decide outcomes in good faith — including full or partial refunds to the buyer or release of escrow to the vendor. Our decision on platform disputes is final for escrow release purposes.

Vendors must provide accurate listings, honour stated prices, ship within reasonable time, and comply with applicable laws. Spacemate may remove listings, withhold payouts, or suspend vendors for policy breaches, fraud, or poor buyer outcomes. Commission rates and payout schedules are communicated during onboarding and in the vendor dashboard.

Style quiz results, palettes, and mood boards are provided for inspiration. They do not constitute professional interior design, architectural, or structural advice. Room-fit and dimension tools are guides only — always verify measurements before purchasing.

Spacemate branding, site design, and original content are owned by Spacemate or its licensors. Vendor product images and descriptions remain the vendor’s responsibility; vendors grant Spacemate a licence to display them on the platform.

The platform is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent allowed by law, Spacemate is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from vendor actions or third-party services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes with Spacemate that cannot be resolved informally may be submitted to the competent courts in Lagos, Nigeria, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
